Voice Lessons

Come sing with me! Focus on alignment, breath work, and vowel placement while finding the most powerful voice you have. And if none of that language made sense to you, come learn with me! I believe that anyone and everyone can learn to sing!

Voice students should have:

  • Water

  • Sheet music printed

  • Device for karaoke track with melody of current song we are working on

  • Separate device to FT or Zoom

  • Pencil

  • Device to record the lesson

  • Straw (for warmups)

  • Come ready for fun!

Violin Lessons

"When you play a violin piece, you are a storyteller."

- Joshua Bell

Violin is arguably one of the most beautiful instruments there is. Whether you have never played before, or you have been playing for years, I would love to work with you on tone, intonation, and dynamic storytelling through the music.

Violin students should have:

  • Their own violin of the right size

  • Music stand or something to put music on

  • Device to FT or Zoom

  • Pencil

  • Rosin

  • Water

  • Tape (for fingerboard)

  • Sheet music/scales & arpeggios books (if available)

  • Focus

Monologue Coaching and Audition Prep

Auditioning is an actor's main job and let me tell you, it is not always easy. Let me help ease your anxieties and create a standout audition, one that I like to call: nerve-proof. Or, maybe you aren't auditioning but just have a pesky monologue that needs some more eyes, ears, and minds.

Acting students should have:

  • Printed monologue and sheet music (if applicable)

  • Device to FT or Zoom

  • Water

  • Pencil

Lessons during the pandemic:

*Due to Covid-19, voice students must have two devices available: one for FT or Zoom for the lesson, and another to play tracks and recordings to sing along to.

Violin and acting students only need one device in order to either Zoom or FT.*

Note specifically for virtual violin lessons: Since learning violin at the beginner level is such a hands on practice, for virtual lessons, students will need to have basic violin skills such as: proper placement of the violin on their shoulder, a solid bow hold, and tape on the fingerboard (if needed). Once we can begin meeting in person again, I will be more than happy to take on those very beginning students! To recap: I will not be accepting brand-new-to-violin students at this time. Thank you for understanding.

Please be ready for the call a few minutes before your lesson time and I will call you when I am ready, as I may have another student directly before you.

Text me if the call isn’t going through.

Have music that you’d like to work on in pdf form (as well as printed for yourself) and ready to send via text or email. You can also send it ahead of time.

And if you don’t have any music, no worries! Building repertoire is something we will work on in lessons as well.
